Pass Transit will offer free-ride tickets Aug. 1-14 as part of the ”Back to Class with Pass Transit” program.

The idea is get students familiar with the transit system and “specifically the routes that can take them to and from school,” city spokeswoman Ashley Starr said. ”The program is also an opportunity for parents to ride the bus and see for themselves that the Pass Transit system is a safe means of transportation to school,” Starr said.

Tickets are available at the Beaumont Civic Center, 550 E. Sixth St., and the Albert A. Chatigny Sr. Community Recreation Center at 1310 Oak Valley Parkway.

A route map and schedules are posted at www.ci.beaumont.ca.us/routes.
