A man who was not paying attention while driving, struck a power pole just after 6 a.m. on Tuesday July 31 in Murrieta, officials reported.
The red Chevrolet pick-up was travelling northbound on Madison Avenue near Murrieta Hot Springs Road when he collided with the power pole, Sgt. Jon Flavin explained.
So Cal Edison was on the scene within a short time and replaced the power pole.
“He sheared off the power pole causing live wires to fall in both lanes,” Sgt. Flavin said. “All lanes were re-opened at 1 p.m.”
The man was not injured.
