The popular Beatles tribute band known as The Hollywood Beetles will perform at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at Great Oak High School’s stadium, it was recently announced.

Proceeds from the event will help support the Spirit of Great Oak High School Band & Guard as they prepare to travel to London to perform in the 2013 New Year’s Day Parade.
The concert is a tribute to the Beatles’ 1965 concert at Shea Stadium in New York City.
Spirit of Great Oak Band Director, Jerry Burdick-Rutz said in a released statement, “The show will be family-friendly and a fun way to enjoy the end of the summer in a beautiful outdoor stadium.”
Great Oak High School’s Jazz Combo Soul Tree, who have been invited to perform at London’s Cadogan Hall in December, will open the event followed by local Top-40 band Mrs. Jones’ Revenge at 6 p.m. and then James Kruk as Elvis at 7 p.m.
General admission tickets are $10. Kids age 5 and under are free. VIP seating is available for $40, which includes up-close seating on the field and dinner.
