Changes in student busing will mean an increase in traffic in school zones.

Parents, family members and anyone responsible for dropping off or picking up students are encouraged to plan accordingly, Sgt. Peter Giannakakos said.

Officials are advising people to allow more time when driving in the school zones as the increase in cars will make dropping off and picking up students more time-consuming.

A sheriff’s press release states the department’s primary concern is the safety of students and public.

Any questions regarding the departments enforcement plan can be directed to Sgt. Peter Giannakakos with the Lake Elsinore Traffic Team at 951-245-3345.
