A female driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after she lost control of her car and hit an oncoming car head-on, the CHP reported.
The collision happened in the 37000 block of Sage Road around 1:45p.m. near Aguanga.
“A gentleman was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on Sage Road,” Mike Zamora of the CHP said. “A female driver in a Toyota Corolla coming in the opposite direction lost control around a curve, hitting the Chevy head-on.”
The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Officer Zamora said the woman was likely unfamiliar with the road.
“If you are driving on a road you are unfamiliar with slow down, pay attention, and check any GPS devices before you begin driving,” he advised.
Sage Road was closed for about 30 minutes while the accident was cleaned up.
No criminal charges will be filed.
