A man who ran a red light in Moreno Valley crashed his car and was thrown from the vehicle on Thursday Aug. 16 just before 1 a.m., authorities reported.
Officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department Reconstruction Team responded to the intersection of Eucalyptus Avenue and Frederick Street regarding a car that had overturned.
Law enforcement officials determined the 23-year-old driver blew through a red light and lost control of his 1998 Toyota Corolla, a sheriff’s press release stated.
The driver sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital where is he listed in stable condition.
The intersection was closed for five hours while investigators combed the scene, Sgt. Bengston explained.
