The Five Guys Burgers and Fries is the second location in Temecula and judging by the bustling atmosphere and lines, people are welcoming the Temecula Parkway location with open arms.

The sound of sizzling beef and the smell of grilled onions hangs in the air-conditioned eatery as people order their food and gobble up burger after burger.

The burger joint, which was founded by four brothers in Virginia gathered steam in the 1980s.

The casual restaurant became so popular that the Murrell brothers eventually started successfully selling franchises ten years ago.

The menu is simple yet allows guests to create their own burgers — or hot dogs — with a wide variety of mouth-watering toppings and sauces from which to choose.

“I love my cheeseburger with grilled onions, jalapenos, bacon and barbeque sauce,” Five Guys fan Theresa Lin said. “The burgers are super tasty and rival most burgers out there.”

The burger patties are all hand-formed and grilled as are the hot dogs. The fries are hand-cut and fried in peanut oil.

Five Guys has no freezers, only coolers ensuring that all of the products they use are fresh and never frozen.

“This is the best and most scrumptious burger,” San Diego resident Trent Campos said in between bites. “The fries are amazing, too.”

The white walls with a red checkerboard border have signs hanging with quotes from magazines and newspapers singing the praises of the burgers, dogs and fries.

The kitchen is open with employees working the grill and calling out how many patties are needed each time someone orders.

“Three patties please,” an employee yelled.

There are now over 1,000 Five Guys locations in 47 states in the nation with more on the horizon.

Visit two Temecula locations: 40426 Winchester Road and 32195 Temecula Parkway, Suite 104 in Temecula.
