Moreno Valley: Prolific juvenile tagger arrested

Moreno Valley police officers arrested a suspected prolific tagger after a search warrant revealed evidence that the juvenile was the culprit, authorities reported.

The juvenile male was arrested on Tuesday Aug. 21 at noon.

The Moreno Valley High School student admitted to 123 tagging incidents in and around Moreno Valley.

Damage is estimated at almost $50,0000.

Members of the Moreno Valley Police Department’s Problem Orientated Policing Team led a lengthy investigation which included social media websites in an effort to catch the people responsible for the vandalism, Sgt. Mooney stated in a report.

Vandalism  charges have been filed against the suspect with the Riverside County Juvenile Court.

The POP Team is in the process of indentifying several other taggers in an ongoing investigation.

    Its too bad that we dont have a huge area where these kids can display their works . such as old buildings, or something. I know grafitti makes a community look awful and run down. but it looks like this kid really has a talent at art, he needs to put it to good use.

    I agree. They should put him to work decorating cells at Folsom Prison. I’m sure his talents would be deeply appreciated there.
