Kids and parents can wear their pajamas to the new series of evening storytime offered on the first Tuesday night of the month at 7 p.m. beginning on Sept. 4 in the Murrieta Library’s Community Room.
Family Storytime is an interactive, half-hour program of books, songs, and activities for the whole family.
“Reading is an important and fun activity to experience with your child. Studies show that pre-bedtime reading helps to create a routine for the child, which helps with the sleeping patterns, and encourages emotional bonding as well as intellectual development in their language and speech skills,” Youth Services Librarian Allison Eagans said.
“This program is enjoyable for everyone in the family and informative for parents who want to nurture a child’s passion for books,” Eagans said.
The program runs through the early winter season: Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4 and is free and open to the public.
The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square.
