Firefighters made quick work today of a fire that damaged an exterior breezeway at a senior apartment complex, a county fire department spokeswoman said.
The blaze at Linda Vista Senior Residence in the 67200 block of Hacienda Avenue was reported about 5:40 a.m.
Firefighters saw smoke and fire in the back of the complex when they arrived, and the blaze was extinguished about 20 minutes later, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
“Due to aggressive firefighter action, the property damage was minimal,” Hendrickson said, adding that the blaze was confined to the breezeway.
No one was injured, and the cause of the fire was under investigation, she said.
