Two people were terrorized by two men after they pulled into the parking lot of their apartment complex in Thermal, authorities reported.

The victims were exiting their car in the 85000 block of Cairo Avenue on Saturday Aug. 25 just before 4 a.m., when two Hispanic males approached them and demanded personal property.
After refusing to hand over any property, one of the suspects pulled out a dark-colored handgun and hit the victim in the head before firing off a round, Sgt. Elders stated in a sheriff’s press release.
The suspects took off running and were last seen running toward Cairo Avenue.
The victim suffered minor injuries and did not seek medical treatment.
