A four-vehicle collision slowed traffic today on the southbound I-15 near Temecula Parkway, it was reported.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Coon, the crash was the result of at least one driver who failed to realize traffic was slowing near Temecula Parkway underneath the Santiago Rd. bridge.
“Traffic was slowed to a stop and one car didn’t realize that traffic was stopping,” Coon said, describing a chain reaction of cars that rammed into each other after the initial collision.
The crash, which occurred at 10:52 a.m., sent at least one person to an area hospital with injuries that Coon described as “minor.”
“We’re lucky that no one got seriously injured,” Coon said.
Coon added that it’s important for motorists to pay attention, avoid distractions and watch for slowing traffic.
