A motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries today after losing control of his bike before crashing on the Ortega Highway, it was reported.
The crash, first reported at 8:16 p.m., took place on the eastbound commute of the Ortega Highway, according to California Highway Patrol officer Oscar Valdez.
The victim hit a curb and lost control of the motorcycle before sliding across several lanes of traffic, upwards of 70 feet, Valdez said.
The motorcycle, who was not identified, was transported to a local hospital with injuries Valdez described as “moderate.”
Traffic was slowed by lane closures until crews could clear the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
