San Diego resident William Calabrese, 20, died today from injuries he sustained while preparing for a fireworks display Friday at The Diamond in Lake Elsinore.

According to a Riverside County Coroner’s report, Calabrese succumbed to his injuries at 8:10 a.m. at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center located in Colton.
Calabrese suffered second and third degree burns over 90 percent of his body after the fireworks exploded and was air-lifted by Mercy Air for treatment on Friday.
Two others were injured in the accident, including another pyrotechnics employee and a Riverside County Fire Department inspector who were both on scene.
Their conditions are not known at this time.
