Palm Desert: Armed man robs gas station, police on the lookout for suspect

An armed man walked into the USA Gas station at about 4 a.m. in the 72300 block of Highway 111, whipped out a gun and demanded the clerk hand over cash, officials reported.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Responding officers scoured the area, but were unable to locate the suspect, Sgt. Brad Farwell said.
