Jurupa Valley: Three months after murder victim found, police arrest suspect

After months of investigative efforts surrounding the murder of a 31-year-old Jurupa Valley man, investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit arrested a 19-year-old Jurupa Valley resident is connection with the murder, officials reported.

Just before 6 a.m., on June 2 officers received calls regarding shots fired in the area of Rutile Street in Jurupa Valley.

Law enforcement on the scene found evidence of a shooting, but no victims or assailants.

A few moments later another call came in regarding a white male suffering from gunshot wounds near Limonite Avenue a few miles away. Medical personnel attempted to save Lee Moore’s life, but Moore succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators identified Gabriel Enrique Madrigal as a suspect in Moore’s murder, Sgt. Brian Reno stated in a report.

Madrigal was arrested on the morning of Sept. 5 and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
