A prefabricated home went up in flames in Blythe, displacing two adults and three children, a Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman said today.
The fire in the 13900 block of Park Drive was reported at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, and arriving firefighters reported the double-wide home fully
engulfed in flames, Melody Hendrickson said.
Firefighters notified the local chapter of the American Red Cross, which provides those displaced by fire with vouchers for a temporary place to
stay and basic necessities.
Hendrickson said the fire was contained in about 35 minutes. How the blaze started was not immediately known.
