A Los Angeles resident is in custody in connection with the Apple Store burglary that occurred shortly before 5 a.m. on Sept. 6 at Promenade Temecula, it was recently announced.

Equonne Howard, 22, was arrested for burglary and booked into the Southwest Detention Center, officials said.
According to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report, a Temecula Police officer noted Howard walking in the area of the mall around 9 a.m. on the morning of the burglary and conducted a pedestrian check.
“The officer was able to determine that the subject was the registered owner of the blue BMW X5 that had been used in the burglary at the Apple Store earlier in the morning. This subject was on state parole and was transported to the Temecula Police Department for questioning,” the report said.
The vehicle, which the burglary suspects had rammed into the storefront of the Apple Store, was later recovered with “extensive damage” from a parking lot in the area of Winchester and Ynez roads in Temecula.
Additional suspects are still at large.
