The sixth suspect in the slaying of a 34-year-old Moreno Valley man is jailed today, Riverside County sheriff’s deputies said.
Angel Rosales, 31, was arrested Saturday night, and the Moreno Valley resident was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of murder, according to department records.
Homicide detectives had identified Rosales as a suspect in the killing of Fernando Renteria, whose body was found Aug. 10 near Webster Avenue and Harley Knox Boulevard.
Five other suspects, all from Moreno Valley, have been arrested for Renteria’s murder, sheriff’s officials said. The location from where Rosales was arrested Saturday, or details about the arrest, were not specified.
Detectives said the investigation was continuing, but did not reveal if any other suspects are possible.
