A 23-year-old pedestrian was killed early today in a hit-and-run crash in Hemet.
Alcides Flores-Landaverde of Hemet was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which was reported about 2:40 a.m. on westbound Florida Avenue west of Juanita Street, according to police and coroner’s officials.
Flores-Landaverde was struck by a small silver pickup truck, according to Hemet police Lt. Duane Wisehart, who asked anyone with information about the crash or the driver’s identity or whereabouts to call investigators at (951) 765-3725.
