The event is set for 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Riverside Auditorium and Events Center, 3485 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside, Calif. 92501.

General admission tickets are $30 each and may be bought by going to ThePinkRunway.com or by calling 909-558-2344.

The models, all breast cancer survivors who underwent breast reconstruction after getting mastectomy, will present fashions provided by Macy’s. The event will honor all breast cancer survivors, celebrate their survival, and remember those who have been lost.

“Our Department of Plastic Surgery is very proud to take a leading role in closing the loop on breast cancer by helping to ensure all women are educated on their reconstructive options post-mastectomy. That is the major goal of our Pink Runway event,” said Dr. Subhas Gupta, chairman of Loma Linda University Health System Department of Plastic Surgery.

“We understand the impact that reconstructive surgery can have on the lives of breast cancer survivors and we view this initiative as a critical one in educating women with breast cancer about their rightful options, considering that seven out of 10 women are not aware of these choices,” Dr. Gupta said.

Attendees of the event, aside from enjoying the fashion will also partake of fun, food and a silent auction.
