In response to a regional work place need for individuals who are trained in nursing, the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) is now accepting applications for Spring 2013, and all applications received now will be considered for admission.

Thanks to a generous grant funded by the Kaiser Foundation, Cal State San Marcos School of Nursing and Extended Learning have partnered to offer this innovative program — it helps fulfill the healthcare needs in our region.

This fast-paced, 24-month “Additional Bachelor’s Degree” program is designed for students who hold a degree in a discipline outside of nursing and who have not completed any LVN or RN coursework.

Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University San Marcos. Completion of the degree program enables individuals to sit for the NCLEX examination for RN licensure.

A free information session is planned for 2 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 14 at California State University San Marcos, Extended Learning, FCB 104.

Cal State University San Marcos is located at 333 S. Twin Oaks Valley Road, San Marcos.

For more information about the upcoming Information Sessions, or to obtain free parking, please contact 760-750-4020 or el@csusm.edu.
