A 60-year-old bicyclist riding through an office complex parking lot was struck and killed today by a minibus with which he crossed paths.
The collision happened shortly before 9 a.m. at 1220 Palmyrita Ave., according to the Riverside Police Department.
Lt. Eric Charrette said the bicyclist, a Riverside resident whose identity has not been released, was going west through the parking lot and tried to cross in front of a Sky Transportation bus occupied by several people.
The driver was unable to stop in time and ran into the rider, who died at the scene.
Nobody aboard the bus was injured.
