A woman apparently suffering from heat exhaustion was airlifted from a hiking trail and driven a hospital for treatment.
“A call came in at 9:35 a.m. of possible heat exhaustion, and a rescue crew with a helicopter was assigned and the helicopter found her,” a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said. “They landed and determined it would be best to airlift her rather than carry her out.”
The dispatcher said the victim, 45, was airlifted, then put in an ambulance and driven to Pomerado Hospital.
