A seventh suspect in the slaying of a 34-year-old Moreno Valley man was behind bars today, Riverside County sheriff’s deputies said.
Michael Ramirez, 22, was arrested at 11 a.m. Friday at a residence in the 1400 block of King Canyon Road in the Victorville area of San Bernardino County and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of murder, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Homicide detectives had identified Ramirez as a suspect in the killing of Fernando Renteria, whose body was found Aug. 10 near Webster Avenue and Harley Knox Boulevard.
Ramirez remained jailed today in lieu of $1 million bail, according to sheriff’s online booking records.
Six other suspects, all from Moreno Valley, have been arrested in connection with Renteria’s murder, sheriff’s officials said.
