Motorcyclist injured in Idyllwild crash

A motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital today with what were described as major injuries sustained during a solo collision on Highway 243, Riverside County fire officials said.

The crash — reported at 1:56 p.m — happened near Marian View Drive, officials said in a written statement.

The condition of the unidentified motorcycle rider was not disclosed.
