A brush fire broke out today near Banning, blackening about 30 acres.
The blaze was reported shortly after 8 a.m. near Bluff Street and Dorianna Lane near the San Bernardino National Forest, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
The fire was reported at 30 acres shortly after 10 a.m., and no structures or U.S. Forest Service land was threatened, according to the Forest Service.
No injuries or evacuations were reported. The cause was under investigation.
