Kids get a free pass throughout the month of October to many of San Diego’s major attractions, including the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park (kids ages 11 and under are admitted free), SeaWorld San Diego and LEGOLAND California.

Amtrak will also provide free tickets for kids ages 15 and under on its Pacific Surfliner train traveling from San Luis Obispo to San Diego with stops in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles and more.
During “Kids Free in San Diego” month, children will also be admitted free to over 30 museums throughout the San Diego region.
Museums range from the Birch Aquarium at Scripps in La Jolla and the California Surf Museum in Oceanside, to The New Children’s Museum and the USS Midway Museum in downtown San Diego.
Thirteen museums in Balboa Park, often called the “Smithsonian of the West,” are also participating in this first-ever destination-wide program.
Additionally, children will receive complimentary meals at participating restaurants like the popular Croce’s Restaurant & Jazz bar in downtown San Diego. Participating hotels will offer complimentary meals and/or a fun, free welcome gift valued at approximately $25.
