Armed robbery suspect sought in Indian Wells

Law enforcement officials are on the hunt for a man suspected of armed robbery, it was reported today.

Officers from the Indian Wells Police Department responded to a report of the robber at 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the  74000 block of Mockingbird Trail in Indian Wells, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report.

“Officers arrived within minutes and learned the female victim had just arrived home in her vehicle and was in her driveway when she was approached by a male suspect brandishing a firearm. The suspect demanded the victim’s purse and then left the area in a dark, unknown-type four door sedan,” the report said.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, medium build and wearing a ball cap, black shirt and black pants.

The victim was not injured during the incident.

Palm Desert Station investigators have assumed the investigation.
