San Jacinto police seek home burglary suspect

A man who was spotted burglarizing a house in San Jacinto was able to jump several fences and escape into the night, a sheriff’s corporal said today.

Riverside County deputies received a call at 10:50 p.m. Friday about a man spotted breaking a window, taking property from inside and placing it outside the door, said sheriff’s Cpl. Jason Sexton.

As deputies were surrounding the home in the 100 block of Manzanita Court, they spotted a flashlight inside, according to sheriff’s reports.

The suspect apparently saw the deputies and bolted from the home, jumping over several fences as deputies tried to find him, Sexton reported.

The burglar was described as a thin Hispanic man in his 20s.
