Teenager wandering in traffic on Domenigoni Parkway dies after being hit by car

A 17-year-old boy walking in the middle of Domenigoni Parkway was hit by a vehicle and killed on Friday Sept. 21 just after 11:00 p.m., officials reported.

The 30-year-old driver of the sedan saw the teenager in the roadway and tried to avoid hitting him.

Steven Nunez of Corona sustained massive trauma in the collision. He was transported to Menifee Valley Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries, Sgt. Sergio Rodriguez said.

All westbound lanes of Domenigoni Parkway were closed while investigators combed the scene. All lanes were re-opened on Saturday Sept. 22 at 5 a.m.
