Cal Fire and Murrieta Fire Department crews battled the blaze, along with air tankers that dropped retardant to tamp down the blaze.
According to Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson, there were no mandatory evacuations, however, residents evacuated horses from a property on Summerview Drive south of Los Alamos Road as the Temprano Fire rapidly approached.
