The glass shattering began about 4:30 a.m. at a strip mall near Olympic Boulevard and Oakhurst Drive, where six businesses at the mall were targeted, said Beverly Hills police Sgt. Max Subin.

About a mile away — or a two-to-three minute car ride — they struck again hitting up two businesses in the 8600 block of Wilshire Boulevard, said

Subin, who added that the burglars took only cash from the businesses.

“They showed some level of sophistication to break in all those businesses in one area,” he said.

Among the businesses broken into were a bakery, a shoe repair and flower shop, said an overnight watch commander, who wouldn’t give his name.

“We don’t have a dollar loss yet because all of the business owners have not done an inventory,” Subin said.
