Two people who bought Mega Millions Lottery tickets worth more than $300,000 apiece at Inland Empire convenience stores have until the end of today to claim their winnings — or lose them altogether.

On March 27, nine Mega players were holding tickets that matched five of six numbers, giving each of them a share of a nearly $3 million pot.
Seven people claimed their shares, totaling $308,573 each. But two winners who purchased tickets in the Inland Empire have yet to come forward.
One ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven store at 7014 Archibald Ave. in Corona. The other ticket was bought at an am/pm minimart at 3890 N. University Parkway in San Bernardino.
By the rules of the California Lottery, the winning tickets must be redeemed within 180 days, or the winners forfeit their claims.
According to lottery officials, if the tickets aren’t turned in by 5 p.m. today at a local Lottery District Office — or signed and sent to the California Lottery in Sacramento with a postmark bearing today’s date or a prior date — the money goes back to the lottery.
The March 27 winning numbers were: 19, 44, 34, 9, 51, and a Mega number of 24.
“The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their ticket, keep tickets in a safe place and contact lottery officials or visit their local Lottery District Office,” said lottery spokesperson Elias Dominguez.
