Two suffer injuries in Moreno Valley house fire

Two people suffered minor burn injuries today in a fire that damaged the kitchen of a Moreno Valley home.

The blaze was reported shortly after 2:30 p.m. at a single-story home in the 28200 block of Belleterre Avenue. The fire was contained the kitchen and doused about 30 minutes later, according to Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

Both people who were burned declined to go to a hospital, she said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
