Hispanic Heritage Month is being celebrated in style at the Galleria at Tyler on Friday and Saturday Sept. 28-29.
Hispanidad Fashion will feature a fashion and modeling extravaganza.
Retailers such as Macy’s, Forever 21, JCPenney, Windsor, New York & Company, Papaya and Love Culture will be participating in the fashion event.
Local Hispanic fashion designers Michelle Soto, Jose Maria Designs and Ivette Alaniz will be showcasing the hottest fashions on the runway.
The fashion forward event will also feature performances by Eleve, Leyenda Dance Company and a modeling completion.
“This year’s theme ‘Hispanidad Fashion’ is a celebration of creativity and fashion that speaks to the Hispanic culture,” Creative Director of Hispanidad Fashion, Marco Puente explained. “Our intent is to further grow and increase cultural diversity through fashion.”
Puente added the event will provide a ‘Fashion Week’ atmosphere for diverse groups such as fashion designers, design students and fashion specialists.
The event is free and open to the public.
