A search was on today for a man in his 20s who robbed a Chase Bank branch in San Jacinto.

The suspect entered the bank in the 1500 block of San Jacinto Avenue around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday and demanded money by passing a note to a teller, said Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Rose McKinney.

He fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed sum, heading south on San Jacinto, she said.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 8 and about 150 pounds, with a moustache and a goatee. He wore a long-sleeve yellow shirt, dark jeans and a dark baseball cap with the letter “A” on it.
