A 19-year-old who allegedly tried to kill two men during a knife attack in Perris was being held today in lieu of $1 million bail.
Marvin Moises Reynoso was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder, mayhem and assault with a deadly weapon.
According to Riverside County sheriff’s officials, around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Reynoso got into a confrontation with several people at a residence in the 1200 block of A Street. Reynoso allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed a 55-year-old man multiple times.
A 29-year-old man was also slashed, said sheriff’s Sgt. Glenn Williams.
Neither victim was identified. Members of the elder man’s family overpowered Reynoso and held him until deputies arrived, Williams said.
The 55-year-old was rushed to a hospital in serious condition and underwent hours of surgery but is expected to survive, according to Williams.
The other victim was treated for lacerations and released from a hospital.
Reynoso was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta.
