Perris fire consumes 20 acres, 75 percent contained

A brush fire burning in Perris is holding at 20 acres, fire officials said today.

The blaze was first reported at 4:46 p.m. Saturday at Christmas Tree Lane and Gilmer Rd., according to Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

The fire is 75 percent contained and no structures are threatened.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
