Four people suffered major to moderate injuries during a late night smash-up involving two vehicles on Highway 74, a fire department spokeswoman said today.
Three of the injured were trapped in one of the vehicles and firefighters used a hydraulic tool to cut them out, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
Firefighters rushed to the scene of the collision that erupted across from Winchester Road after dispatchers received an 11:24 p.m. call Saturday, Hendrickson said.
All four injured people were taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment, Hendrickson said.
