A brush fire caused by recreational shooting on U.S. Bureau of Land Management property near Banning was fully controlled at 364 acres.
The blaze, which was 100 percent contained around 6:30 p.m. Monday, broke out at 6:10 p.m. Saturday at Old Banning Idyllwild Road and Shirleon Drive.
A team of 250 firefighters, aided by five helicopters and four air tankers, fought the blaze, Riverside County fire spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said. A handful of homes were threatened on Sunday, but no evacuations were ordered.
Four firefighters suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Hagemann said, adding that one outbuilding and a few abandoned vehicles were destroyed.
