A Hemet man who allegedly robbed Chase Bank in Temecula on Tuesday Sept.18 was arrested today, law enforcement officials reported.
Rodney Jeter, 21 entered the bank located on Rancho California Road claiming to have an explosive device. He handed a letter to the teller demanding money and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators from the Temecula Police Department responded to the scene and quickly noted that the suspect description and method of operation in this case matched information regarding two recent bank robberies in the city of Hemet, Sgt. K. McDonald stated in a sheriff’s press release.
The Temecula Police Investigators spoke with the Hemet Police Department and were able to gather details that identified Jeter as the suspect.
He was arrested in Hemet and booked into the Southwest Detention Center for all three bank robberies.
Sgt. McDonald added that additional charges will be filed against Jeter regarding the Temecula heist.
