Cheap Trick, Counting Crows to perform at Pechanga

Cheap Trick, the black and white checkered, wild and crazy guitar-riffing 80s favorite, announced it will perform at 8 p.m. on Dec. 7 at Pechanga Resort & Casino.

The popular band is currently performing with Aerosmith as part of the Global Warming Tour, but will take the stage unaccompanied for the Dec. 7 show.

Tickets start at $45 and go on sale today, Oct. 5.

Known for such hits as “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” and the lighter-waving favorite, “The Flame,” Cheap Trick has sold 20 million records, performed on 29 movie soundtracks, 40 gold and platinum recording awards and over 5,000 live performances.

The band’s current release, “The Latest,” (released on CD, vinyl and 8-track) has earned glowing reviews worldwide as they celebrate their 35th anniversary together.

Also on sale now are tickets for the Counting Crows performance at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 with openers Tender Mercies and Mean Creek.  Tickets start at $65.
