Pre-dawn earthquake rattles Lake Elsinore

A small earthquake struck Riverside County today, the U.S. Geological survey reported.

The temblor struck at 6 a.m.  on Tuesday Oct. 9, 5.6  miles beneath the surface with a magnitude of 3.4, its epicenter 2 miles north of Lake Elsinore and 16 miles
south-southwest of Moreno Valley, according to a computer-generated report.
