Get ready for the ghoulish, truly spooky Vampire Vail Halloween Festival at Vail Lake Resort.

Guests are invited to take part in a Haunted Hay Ride, a Jurassic Forest that features lifelike sculptures of the prehistoric creatures, courtesy of local artist Ricardo Breceda and more.
The weekend event runs from 4 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 12-13, 19-20, and 26-27.
For those looking to add some pep to their step, there is the Run for Your Lives Zombie Race from 12 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 20-21.
The race is expected to draw nearly 25,000 guys and “ghouls” to the pristine Vail Lake landscape to whoop it up in costume and get a little “exorcise.”
The Apocalypse End of the World After-Party will follow, running from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Oct. 20.
