Hemet Unified School District is slated to officially welcome two new additions to the school district next week.
The first dedication is set for 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 where district officials will celebrate the completion of a two-story science building, a two-story classroom building and a new modern 500-seat theater.

The event will take place in the new theater at Hemet High School, located at 41701 East Stetson Avenue in Hemet.
“We started this project in 2006,” district spokesperson Hans Trandowski explained. “Everyone is extremely pleased with the completion of this project.”
A second dedication for the Solar Panel Project is slated for 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 19 at Tahquitz High School, located at 4425 Titan Trail in Hemet.
The Solar Panel Project was put in place in an effort for the district to “go green,” district officials said.
Solar panels were installed at 17 Hemet Unified School District school sites.
“It feels great to do our part to join in on the green movement,” Trandowski said.
Several state and local government representatives will be attendance at both dedications.
