U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer will speak about Medicare and Medicaid at Mizell Senior Center in Palm Springs today, her office announced.
Boxer, a Democrat, will speak about “the need to protect Medicare and Medicaid to ensure that current and future seniors will get the health care they need,” according to a statement from her office.
She is scheduled to speak at 11 a.m. Friday at Mizell, 480 S. Sunrise Way.
Boxer will talk about President Obama’s “efforts to strengthen the program” and the House Republican budget plan, according to her office.
