Lake Elsinore man faces burglary charges

A Lake Elsinore man, already arrested in connection with a series of burglaries, faces additional charges because more stolen property has been discovered, a sheriff’s sergeant said today.

Joel Viramontes Jr., 34, was arrested Oct. 4 after members of a sheriff’s special enforcement team served a search warrant at a home in the 31700 block of Casino Drive, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Raymond Nava.

But a second search warrant tied was served Friday, this time in the 1100 block of Cleveland Court where Nava said various items of stolen property was uncovered.

Additional charges of possession of stolen property will be filed against Viramontes, who had posted $15,000 bail Oct. 7, jail records cite.

Three other suspects were also arrested Oct. 4 at the Casino Drive location. Brian Hayden, 24, was suspected of possession of methamphetamine, Chanel Gray, 29, was suspected of vehicle theft and Tina Gagon, 34, had a misdemeanor warrant, Nava said.
