A motorcyclist suffered “minor to moderate injuries” today in a crash on the I-15 just south of Rancho California Rd., it was reported.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer G. Peterson, the crash, which occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m., was the result of slowing traffic.
“It appears the (motorcyclist) was traveling at freeway speeds when it approached stopping traffic … traffic stopped abruptly, and (the motorcyclist) slowed at the last minute and lost control,” Peterson said.
Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash, Peterson said.
Peterson cautioned motorists to “keep eyes ahead on the road and anticipate that traffic will be slowing,” especially with the weekend commute.
