A memorial service for Wanda McGlover is being held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Mt. Rubidoux Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Riverside .
McGlover was found clinging to life in a ditch on Friday Sept. 21.
Her death has been ruled a “hit-and-run,” however, family, friends and neighbors adamantly claimed she was murdered.
According to several reports, McGlover was taking her daily walk and talking on the phone with her daughter when someone allegedly attacked her and left her for dead in a roadside ditch on Brookside Drive near Washington Street.
According to a recent press release issued by the family, the case is considered an ongoing homicide investigation.
In recent weeks investigators have been seen in the area talking with motorists and going door to door in an effort to crack the case.
The family has set up a website to help with costs in finding McGlover’s murderer. Donations can be made on the website: Justice for Wanda McGlover.
In lieu of flowers, her family is asking that donations be made to the Wanda McGlover Scholarship Fund at 37235 High Vista Drive, Murrieta, CA 92563.
Mt. Rubidoux Seventh-Day Adventist Church is located at 5320 Victoria Avenue in Riverside.
